We’re hiring more Senior Alternative Delivery Managers to help lead our Design for Design-Build Transportation practice into its next era of growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage the design team producing solutions for the contractor on large, complex transportation projects (roadway, highway, bridge)
- Drive delivery excellence through collaborative Alternative Delivery processes (Design Build, CMAR and P3)
- Develop advanced Design-Build commercial management expertise with broad exposure to all alternative project delivery methods
- Eliminate the common project management challenge of being under resourced by leveraging Jacobs’ industry leading technical depth, design infrastructure, and global/local expertise—ensuring you always have the people, tools, and support needed to confidently deliver complex projects
- Shape the future of our Transportation Alternatives Delivery business by influencing pursuit strategies, aligning with key contractors and concessionaire partners early, and helping Jacobs maintain its position as the design consultant of choice
- Lead and manage the full delivery of complex, largescale Design Build and Public Private Partnership (PPP) transportation projects, ensuring quality, schedule, budget, and contract compliance
- Cook up multidiscipline and multi-office teams—including project controls, engineering staff, and technical specialists—to achieve project goals and performance metrics
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, owners, DOT representatives, and other project stakeholders
- Oversee project planning, staffing, financial performance, schedule management, and overall project profitability
- Guide and mentor engineering staff, directing daily technical activities and project execution
- Represent Jacobs’ alternative delivery capabilities in local markets and at industry and partner events
- Participate in key meetings and presentations, engaging effectively with internal and external partners
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline
- Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
- 5+ Years proven Design Manager or Contractor Design-Build Integration Manager experience delivering Alternative Delivery Transportation Projects (Design Build/CMAR/P3) valued at $100M or more, OR 10+ years of experience demonstrated Roadway/Interchange Lead Engineer experience on $200M+ similar projects, even without prior Design Manager designation
- Experience working with Southeast DOT clients (e.g. Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina or North Carolina) with familiarity in regional standards and delivery practices

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $208,900.00 to $299,500.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
