Senior Allocation Planner
Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Senior Allocation Planner to join the Planning, Allocation, and Operations team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters.
About the role
Within the Planning, Allocation, and Operations team, the Allocation Planner will be responsible for the replenishment of our Retail Stores as well as store initial allocation at the launch of each season. In addition, he/she will action inventory allocation and release for Marc Jacobs Wholesale partners and our Retail Network.
Responsibilities
- Store allocation and replenishment from DC to stores daily
- Determine initial allocation and replenishment quantities to maintain necessary inventory levels and maximize service levels for stores
- Propose increases and decreases to in-store inventory thresholds to upper management weekly and monthly
- Work on region specific inventory and sales reporting to be used in global decisions
- Evaluate sales daily and react to trends to shift inventory to maximize sales, service level and sell through
- Work closely with Buying team to understand priorities and market specific needs
- Report on product in dc dates and delays from factory prior to launch of each season to ensure on time launch
- Action inventory allocation and release for Wholesale and Retail
- Analyze daily allocations against incoming supply to strategically release pick tickets and optimize workflow to warehouse
- Review and react to any orders that cannot be released to the warehouse due to credit issues, order holds, short ship windows
- Provide sales operations teams with any necessary information needed to complete weekly shipping forecast
- Execute all retail order entry and maintenance
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in planning role
- Must be able to work unsupervised (minimum 50%-time in allocation)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Comprehensive understanding of retail math
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent analytical skills
- Organized and able to multi-task

Pay
The compensation for this position ranges from $75,000-80,000 annually. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. Marc Jacobs uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward all levels of expertise, performance, and tenure.
