Senior Aircraft Technician - Avionics (Contract)

This is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed.

About the role

You will be part of the team to perform work on assigned aircraft or parts in the avionics function. Maintain a close working relationship with your assigned lead person regarding schedules, priorities, availability of parts, supplies and tools, and special instructions.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication, repair, and installation of aircraft parts
• Maintenance and repair of helicopters and support of helicopter-specific programs
• Perform work from blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals, and other source data to obtain dimensions, locations, alignment, tolerances, and other specification requirements
• Use a variety of standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices, and test equipment
• Assure that completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications

Requirements

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience working on avionics in aircraft, preferably rotorcraft
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and apply standard shop practices in the fabrication and repair modifications of aircraft structures and repairs
• Current Airframe or Powerplant license is a plus but not required
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
