Strong early-career and continuing foundation as a hands-on Software Engineer. Significant recent experience architecting, building, and operating enterprise AI, GenAI, or agentic AI platforms in production. Strong hands-on development experience with Python and at least one of Java, Go, or TypeScript. Strong understanding of:APIs and API design Microservices Distributed systems Event-driven architectures Testing and test automation Code reviews Secure software development Reliability and scalability engineering Hands-on experience with:Large Language Models (LLMs) Model gateways and model routing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Embeddings Vector databases and search Hybrid search Prompt engineering and management AI agents Tool/function calling AI evaluation Experience implementing AI observability, tracing, governance, monitoring, and guardrails. Strong experience with one or more major cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, and/or GCP. Hands-on experience with:Kubernetes Docker/containers CI/CD Infrastructure as Code Cloud-native architectures Demonstrated experience designing highly available, secure, scalable, and production-grade platforms. Strong architectural decision-making skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to remain technically hands-on while providing engineering leadership and mentorship. Strongly Preferred Experience with Azure OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, and/or Google Vertex AI. Experience designing or implementing LiteLLM or comparable model-gateway architectures. Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or comparable agent frameworks. Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and enterprise AI tool integration. Experience with vector databases, semantic search, and hybrid search technologies. Experience with OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing. Experience with Langfuse, Arize, or comparable AI observability and evaluation platforms. Experience with enterprise identity, authentication/authorization, secrets management, and key-management technologies. Experience designing systems that protect PII, PHI, financial data, or other sensitive enterprise information. Experience working in healthcare or another highly regulated industry. Experience working with Fortune 500 or large enterprise organizations. Combination of enterprise engineering experience and startup/product-building experience.
