Senior AI Developer / AI Solutions Lead
Homeland has partnered with an established professional services organization to hire a hands-on Senior AI Developer / AI Solutions Lead to drive the next phase of its enterprise AI transformation. This role involves working closely with business users to identify automation opportunities and design, build, and deploy production-ready AI solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
About the role
This is a hands-on development position for an experienced Microsoft Azure and AI professional. The organization has a strong foundation with Microsoft Copilot and is expanding its use of Azure AI Foundry, AI agents, agentic workflows, and intelligent process automation. The ideal candidate is a builder first—a strong Azure and software engineering professional who understands both the capabilities and limitations of AI.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise AI and automation solutions across the Microsoft Azure ecosystem
- Build AI applications, agents, and intelligent workflows using Azure AI Foundry
- Develop solutions utilizing Azure OpenAI and other Microsoft AI technologies
- Design and implement agentic AI workflows that automate multi-step business processes
- Work directly with business users to understand existing processes, pain points, and opportunities for improvement
- Translate business needs into practical technical solutions and personally take those solutions from concept through production
- Determine whether problems are best solved through AI, traditional automation, existing Azure capabilities, or other technologies
- Build integrations, APIs, reusable services, and workflow automation using technologies such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Power Automate
- Evaluate potential projects based on technical feasibility, development effort, scalability, and measurable business value
- Partner with business stakeholders, IT, Development, Security, Data, and an established AI governance committee to deliver secure, scalable solutions
Requirements
- 5+ years of enterprise software development, cloud engineering, or related technical experience, including hands-on experience developing AI-enabled solutions
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Practical development experience using Azure AI Foundry
- Demonstrated experience building enterprise AI or Generative AI applications
- Experience developing AI agents, agentic workflows, or AI-enabled process automation
- Strong software development, API, and enterprise integration experience
- Experience taking solutions beyond proof-of-concept into production environments
- Ability to work directly with non-technical business users to understand processes and translate business challenges into technical solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Ability to work on-site in the Atlanta office based on project and business needs
Additional Information
Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without employer sponsorship. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
