Senior AI Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Senior AI Counsel to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI law, regulatory compliance, and technology ethics. This role involves advising on the legal implications of AI technologies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing guidance on ethical considerations.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on the development, deployment, and use of AI technologies within the organization.
• Assess and mitigate legal risks associated with AI systems, including data privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property issues.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding AI.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on emerging AI technologies and their legal implications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal and regulatory challenges related to AI.
• Stay informed about changes in AI-related laws and regulations and advise the organization accordingly.

Requirements

• A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• At least 5 years of experience in AI law, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
• Experience working with AI technologies and understanding of their legal and ethical implications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to navigate complex legal issues and provide strategic counsel.
• Experience with drafting and negotiating contracts involving AI technologies.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing AI, such as GDPR, CCPA, and others.
• Experience with data privacy and security best practices.
• Understanding of AI ethics and principles.

Pay

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
