Senior AI & Automation Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior AI & Automation Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will help shape and deliver AI-enabled solutions, custom applications, and secure automation capabilities that improve how internal teams work. The ideal candidate will partner closely with IT, security, and business stakeholders to identify practical AI use cases, establish governance, and turn emerging technology into measurable business value. In addition to building new solutions, this engineer will help modernize existing web applications and strengthen engineering standards for reliability, incident response, and secure delivery. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $132,500 – $161,715 annually Responsibilities Architect, build, operate, and improve AI-enabled solutions and custom applications Administer enterprise AI platforms and define use cases and governance Evaluate emerging AI capabilities for business value and compliance Maintain and modernize existing PHP/Laravel applications Develop secure and testable automations using various tools and languages Automate Corporate IT processes in collaboration with security and IT support Establish engineering standards for code management and incident response Qualifications Degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience 6+ years in software, automation, or IT platform engineering Proven ability to design, deliver, and operate secure solutions in an enterprise environment Hands-on experience with web applications, APIs, integrations, and automations Proficiency in at least one modern programming language Knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth/OIDC, and secure application practices Experience with enterprise AI platforms preferred Benefits Flexible work environment Commitment to diversity and inclusion in hiring Opportunities for equity participation Access to comprehensive benefits and perks Supportive company culture that values community and collaboration Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
