Senior Agentic Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of multi-agent systems using LLMs, vector databases, and agent orchestration frameworks to create intelligent, goal-oriented automation.
Implement advanced reasoning capabilities including chain-of-thought processing, multi-step planning, and decision trees for complex insurance scenarios.
Design comprehensive observability frameworks for agent systems including real-time performance metrics, decision tracing, and behavioral analytics to ensure full visibility into autonomous operations.
Implement rigorous testing strategies for agentic systems including unit testing for agent components, integration testing for multi-agent workflows, and adversarial testing for edge cases and failure modes.
Establish comprehensive governance frameworks that ensure agent decision-making processes meet insurance regulatory requirements including audit trails, explainability standards, fair lending compliance, and state insurance commission oversight requirements.
Qualifications
Expertise in LLMs and Agent Frameworks including OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, LangChain, CrewAI, or similar platforms for building autonomous AI systems.
Strong software engineering background with proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and modern AI/ML deployment patterns including vector databases, embedding systems, and real-time inference.
Experience with agent architecture patterns including ReAct, function calling, multi-agent coordination, and tool use frameworks for complex workflow automation.
Location
Candidates based in Madison, Wisconsin or San Francisco, California are preferred to facilitate close collaboration with our team.

Compensation Range
$175,000 – $275,000 annual base salary + bonus + equity (commensurate with experience and dependent on location)
