Position Summary
The Senior Advisor serves as a strategic resource to Department leadership, providing high-level advisory, operational, and project management support across the Department’s priority initiatives. Reporting to the Commissioner or Chief of Staff, the Senior Advisor acts as a trusted partner and representative of leadership in internal and external settings, driving work with philanthropic partners and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- Previous experience working in fields related to government, public health, public policy, or a related field for 10+ years
- Capacity and willingness to learn

- Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage and report complex information
- Experience with data collection, analysis and interpretation

- Experience working with the public health sector and coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level materials
- Experience working across agencies or organizations to drive collaborative initiatives
- Able to exercise sound, independent judgment on time-sensitive matters with agency-wide impact
- Able to prioritize and work in fast-paced environment with hard deadlines
