Responsibilities

  • Proactively reviews supplier capabilities, assesses operational gaps to identify risks, and takes systematic actions to develop a world-class supplier.
  • Globally responsible for all supplier development, quality improvement, and sustainment.
  • Systematically drives Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to prevent defects.
  • Works directly with sourcing, business, engineering, and customers on strategies to improve product quality and delivery.
  • Identifies and leads the implementation of continuous improvement projects.
  • Led creating a performance culture with suppliers through coaching and technical engagement.
  • Takes ownership of the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) Program, improving supplier quality and minimizing disruptions in manufacturing facilities.
  • Leverages expertise in quality management to drive initiatives aimed at enhancing supplier performance, reducing customer escapes, and implementing effective corrective action processes.
  • Lead data-driven supplier assessments to identify capability gaps, emerging risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute targeted supplier improvement strategies focused on long-term performance and resilience.
  • Coach suppliers on building robust quality systems, driving sustainable process improvements rather than reactive fixes.
  • Leverage quality and operational data (e.g., SCAR, PPM, escapes, delivery trends) to identify leading indicators and proactively mitigate risk.
  • Develop and implement predictive analytics and performance dashboards to enable early intervention and informed decision-making.
  • Drive preventive strategies that reduce defect generation, customer escapes, and operational disruptions.
  • Collaborate with sourcing, engineering, and operations to align on supplier strategies, risk mitigation plans, and performance expectations.
  • Influence upstream decision-making using data insights to drive supplier selection, development priorities, and resource allocation.
  • Integrate supplier quality insights into broader business operating systems and reviews.
  • Provide clear, data-driven insights on supplier performance, risks, and improvement progress to leadership.
  • Maintain streamlined, high-value reporting focused on trends, predictive signals, and actionable outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a Quality organization for a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with working with suppliers.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles and risk assessment methodologies within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written, including customer reporting.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Able to interface effectively with all levels of leadership.
  • A change agent with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, including ability to interpret performance data, define actions, and implement solutions.
  • Effective collaboration skills to motivate and influence others at various levels without a direct reporting relationship.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $107,000 - $134,000. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $123,000 - $154,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
