About the role
The Senior Supplier Quality Surveillance Engineer supports Procurement in implementing and executing Supplier Quality Inspections and audits. This role ensures that materials and equipment meet or exceed customer and contract quality and workmanship expectations.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality assurance and quality control shop inspections and audits
- Audit subcontracts and corporate agreements to ensure they meet Rosendin Procurement quality standards and customer expectations
- Assist in prequalification of suppliers/subcontractors by performing audits/assessments
- Oversee quality of fabricators and subcontractors as needed
- Review and develop corrective action plans for non-conformance reports (NCR)
- Coordinate with Quality Managers to approve final disposition of NCRs
- Provide input on supplier/subcontractor quality performance ratings
- Lead pre-fabrication meetings, create checklists, write inspection/audit reports, and communicate findings
Requirements
- Broad working knowledge of design/craft disciplines and engineered equipment/materials associated with renewable energy and electrical projects
- Familiarity with electrical procurement and vendor surveillance procedures
- Working knowledge of construction industry codes and standards such as IEEE, IECC, NEC, NFPA, NESC, IBC, IFC, etc.
- Detail-oriented and excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional supplier experience
- 5+ years of professional supplier quality experience and a minimum of an associate’s degree in electrical technology
- 3+ years of professional supplier quality experience and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- API SIEE Certification preferred
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification preferred
Skills
- Written and verbal communication skills, including leading pre-fabrication meetings and creating checklists
- Knowledge of transformers, switchgear, UPS, BESS, and PV inverter modules
- Experience with electrical procurement and vendor surveillance procedures
- Understanding of construction industry codes and standards related to electrical components/systems

Schedule
Up to 85% travel may be required, occasionally traveling outside of the USA.
