Responsibilities
- Lead teams in development of proposals, statements of work and associated cost estimates.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and the program manager.
- Define and implement project scope, objectives, deliverables, prepare schedules and resource forecasting in Microsoft project.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
- Lead a robust risk management process to identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
- Contain scope growth though robust baseline change management.
- Cookordination and communication with stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- At least 5 years of experience in project engineering or related roles in the Aerospace industry.
- Experience managing development test and factory test system projects from development through deployment and sustainment phases.
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
- Ability to lead teams to fast, practical solutions using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing project requirements.
- Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
- Willingness to travel to customer and internal Honeywell meetings both domestic and international.
About the Role
This position is for a Senior Advanced Project Engineer within the Electronic Test COE. The ET team is a large global team based out of Deer Valley Arizona with design teams in Clearwater Florida, Toronto Canada, Bangalore India, Hyderabad India, Bruno Czech Republic, and Beijing China. As a Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading and managing engineering projects across the global ET domain.
