Responsibilities
- Supports the operations of the Planning Board.
- Assists the public in responding to requests for assistance.
- All other related work as required.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Courses in office procedures and secretarial skills.
- Two years of office experience.
- Experience working with the public.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Ability and Skill
- Knowledge of professional office practices and procedures.
- General knowledge of municipal government is a plus.
- Ability to deal with the public in a courteous manner.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to keep detailed records of financial transactions.
- Ability to use a computer and learn various programs.
- Ability to meet multiple demands.
- Excellent typing, secretarial, and computer skills, including proficiency with web-based collaboration platforms such as Sharepoint or Google Workspace; Adobe; MS Office, data management, and spreadsheet applications.
- Skill and ability in operating standard office equipment.
- Good communication skills, organizational skills, and customer service skills.
- Bilingual is beneficial, but not required.
Pay
Grade 4 ($26.42 – $31.05 an hour)
Schedule
This position is generally scheduled 8 AM to 1 PM four days per week, not to exceed 19. 5 hours per week. Some schedule flexibility may be possible.
