Senior Ad Tech Solutions Architect, Media, Entertainment, Games & Sports
About the role
AWS is looking for a technical leader to drive customers' Ad Tech / Mar Tech strategy, helping them unlock new content monetization opportunities in Media, Entertainment, Games, and Sports. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will educate customers, partners, and internal stakeholders on emerging technologies and solutions transforming these industries in advertising and marketing. You will provide hands-on architectural guidance for customer projects involving AWS services and ISV/partner solutions, and collaborate with cross-Amazon teams to develop holistic solutions for strategic industry opportunities. In this role, you will be a content creator, storyteller, and presenter, building and publishing content for customers in one-on-one and group settings, working remotely and in person. This role requires at least 30% travel, including international travel.
Key job responsibilities
- Stay current on emerging trends and identify applications of new technologies to reduce friction, eliminate waste, and help reinvent consumer data platforms with direct applications towards personalized consumer experiences and ads, tools and applications for ad-tech/ad-management/ad-serving platforms and ad-publishing, and marketing-tech with impacts on better content monetization for customers
- Support the strategy for Content Monetization for customers
- Architect and deliver innovative, customer-obsessed solutions leveraging AWS services and partner offerings
- Develop and maintain relationships with key industry players, contributing to thought leadership and helping shape industry trends
- Create high-quality enablement content, including guidance, blogs, demos, POCs, and presentations, to share your expertise
- Engage with customers, partners, and industry events to inspire and educate on the transformative potential of AWS solutions
- Deliver written and spoken communications on complex ad-technology/content monetization subjects and help establish AWS as the cloud of choice for industry organizations looking to accelerate revenue growth and improve return on assets
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
- Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences, or experience in similar environments
- 5+ years of performance in an online advertising role and familiarity with advertising products and ad serving technologies
- Experience with and deep understanding of advertising technologies (i.e., ad server, DSP)
- Experience using Linux
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
- Experience in data science, business analytics, business intelligence, or similar experience in big data environments
- Experience leading stakeholder engagements and presentations with senior and international leaders
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
- Hands-on experience designing or operating real-time bidding (RTB) systems, including bid-stream ingestion, auction logic, and low-latency decisioning at scale
- Experience with AI-powered coding assistants and agentic development workflows

Pay
Base salary range varies by location. Final compensation includes base salary plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
