About the role
This role supports financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the design and execution of reserve analyses for General Liability and Umbrella business
- Manage reserves using actuarial judgment to evaluate adequacy and key drivers of change
- Lead selection and documentation of actuarial methods and assumptions
- Assess and address incomplete or changing data with diagnostics and scenario analysis
- Monitor emerging experience relating to claims trends and social inflation
- Translate actuarial findings into actionable recommendations for cross-departmental teams
- Partner with teams to enhance integration between reserving insights and business strategy
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of P&C actuarial reserving techniques for long-tailed casualty lines such as General Liability and Umbrella
- Demonstrated experience leading reserve studies for complex or multi-segment portfolios
- Ability to combine quantitative analysis with actuarial judgment under changing data conditions
- Proficiency with actuarial tools such as Excel, SQL, R, Python, or SAS; experience in automation and visualization encouraged
- FCAS designation is required; relevant P&C actuarial experience in commercial lines is preferred

Pay
$149,000 – $262,000 annually
