Senior Actuary, Life Modeling & Modernization

About the role

This role will drive modeling and modernization initiatives focused on growth, customer acquisition, and measurable demand creation within a regulated financial services environment. You will collaborate with analytics, product, creative, and commercial teams to turn market insights into scalable campaigns, testing strategies, and performance improvements. The position offers the opportunity to directly influence customer engagement, conversion performance, and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Drive key modeling and modernization initiatives, including converting UL models to AXIS
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient modeling processes and data flow designs
• Streamline modeling and production lifecycle through automation and AI capabilities
• Support and guide assumption development with the assumptions team
• Lead project workstreams to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Maintain clear documentation for model usability and governance
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical leadership in the team

Requirements

• BA/BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Engineering, or related field
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) with 7+ years of experience
• 8+ years of life insurance experience, specifically with Universal Life (UL) and/or Traditional Life (TRAD) products
• Expertise in AXIS actuarial modeling platforms and familiarity with Integrate/MG-ALFA and PolySystems
• Strong technical skill set including SQL, Excel, Python, or similar technologies

Pay

$137,000 – $212,000 annually
