Primary Responsibilities

  • Review and research a high volume of transactions, identifying root causes of discrepancies and recognizing solutions.
  • Document issues and report to management.
  • Provide customer service regarding collection issues.
  • Maintain assigned accounts - handle customer calls, account adjustments/refunds, and customer reconciliations.
  • Resolve client discrepancies and short payments.
  • Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned portfolio, including regular collection calls and correspondence to customers.
  • Work with customers and internal employees in the pursuit and resolution of collection matters, including legal collections and troubled status.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma/GED required, Associates Degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable, Reconciliation, and/or Collections experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in researching and reconciling techniques.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting contracts (leases).
  • Proficiency working with Great Plains preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stoop, bend, kneel or crouch.
  • Ability to stand, walk and sit.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Visual ability correctable to 20/20.
  • Sitting up to 90% of the day.
  • Ability to respond verbally in an understandable, professional manner in person and over the telephone.
  • Manual dexterity to input data into the computer and the calculator and operate the equipment listed above.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

Work Environment

  • Office/Cubicle workspace.
  • Moderate noise level.
