Senior Accounts Assistant - OOC Finance

Salary: $37,200 (base salary; eligible for years-of-service adjustments or shift differentials).

Location: 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.

About the role

We manage the financial transactions related to afterschool programs, child care relief funds, the First Steps Program, and the Safe Cribs for Missouri Program. We also work with professionals and contractors to navigate invoice and payment discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices for payment.
• Ensure proper coding is applied to payment documents.
• Track expenditures across various funding sources.
• Educate staff on DESE financial policies and procedures for payments and expenditures.
• Reconcile monthly and/or quarterly all OOC expenditures.
• Provide technical assistance to contractors regarding financial issues.
• Assist in the review and approval of budgets and payments submitted through ePeGS and PM System.
• Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.

Requirements

• Successful relevant work experience in finance, accounting, grants management, and/or other related administrative duties.
• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalency.
