Senior Accounting Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and enthusiastic staff member to join our Operations and Organizational Development Division as a Senior Accounting Technician.
The Accounting Team supports Human Services in the following areas: Accounts Payable, Mileage Reimbursements, Travel Reimbursements, Commercial Cards, CSBG/LCF Grants, Payroll, Trusts, EBT Client Cards, CCAP, and CORE.
About the role
This is a full-time, in-office position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. No remote work is offered.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service while issuing EBT cards to clients.
- Enter and maintain accurate client and financial information in various software systems, including Google Sheets.
- Review, verify, and enter Accounts Payable (A/P) invoices into the County system.
- Collect client payments, accurately record transactions, and maintain payment records across multiple software systems.
- Prepare and make daily deposits while ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Process EBT mailings as needed.
- Provide backup support to other EBT Cashiers and assist with departmental operations as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling client information, payments, and financial records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

Qualifications
All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Candidates who do not meet all listed qualifications will be eliminated from the process.
- Three (3) years of experience maintaining financial and statistical records in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities.
