Senior Accounting Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant to join our Fintech organization on a 3+ month contract with the opportunity to extend. This is a remote position, offering a pay rate of $70-$80/hr.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed review and reconciliation of intercompany balances across global entities.
• Research and resolve aged intercompany differences, unmatched transactions, and historical reconciling items.
• Partner with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and regional finance teams to validate balances and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries as required.
• Investigate historical transactions and document root causes of discrepancies.
• Assist with intercompany settlements, confirmations, and account certification activities.
• Support month-end close activities related to intercompany accounting.
• Create standardized reconciliation templates and supporting schedules.
• Document accounting processes and recommendations to improve future intercompany controls.
• Support preparation of audit-ready documentation for intercompany balances and transactions.
