Senior Accounting Consultant

Century Group is partnering with a client to add a Senior Accounting Consultant to their team.

Pay

Expected starting pay rate of $50.00 to $60.00 per hour, based on skills, experience, and location.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and financial reporting activities for assigned business units while ensuring accurate and timely results.
• Manage month-end close processes including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
• Oversee project and contract accounting activities by reviewing revenue recognition, cost tracking, and operational performance.
• Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights, support business decisions, and resolve accounting matters.
• Support audits, reporting requirements, and process improvement initiatives that strengthen financial controls and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience in a professional environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal control practices.
• Experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and business unit financial support.
• Proficiency with Excel, enterprise resource planning systems, and financial reporting tools.

• Effective communication with operational leaders, management teams, and nonfinancial stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail while managing multiple priorities and meeting reporting deadlines.

• Experience with project-based accounting, revenue recognition, business intelligence tools, or service-related industries is beneficial.
