Senior Accounting Associate – Client Accounting & Advisory Services

About the role

Join our dynamic team at Client Accounting Services – Professional Services CAS in Rockville, MD or Washington, D.C. As a Senior Accounting Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality client accounting and advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and reports for clients
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis and support
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Support the development and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance
• CPA certification preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Skills

• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
