Health Dimensions Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team and support our growing portfolio of managed senior living communities. In this role, you'll play an important part in maintaining accurate financial records and delivering timely financial reporting for our managed communities. From general ledger accounting and month-end close to financial statement preparation, reconciliations, budgeting, and analysis, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while partnering with community leaders and members of our Finance team. What You'll Do (AKA: Your Superpowers) Own The Numbers & Financial Reporting Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledgers of HDG's managed communities as part of the monthly financial close process.Compile and reconcile general ledger information and prepare month-end schedules supporting monthly financial statements.Prepare bank reconciliations and related journal entries for managed community bank accounts.Create and issue accurate monthly financial statements within established deadlines and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Review financial statement accounts, identify variances or discrepancies, and research and resolve accounting issues as needed.Review and verify invoice coding prior to accounts payable batch posting to help ensure expenses are recorded accurately. Analyze, Reconcile & Support Financial Performance Prepare financial reports and analyses, including budget-to-actual comparisons, departmental PPD expenses, payroll and labor reports, bank compliance reporting, capital project tracking, and other financial reporting as needed.Provide data input and analytical review in support of annual budgets for HDG's managed communities.Prepare financial information needed for Medicare and Medicaid cost report filings.Prepare financial information requested by outside tax accountants to support tax return filings.File applicable sales and use tax returns for managed communities.Prepare workpapers for annual audits and collaborate with external auditors throughout the audit process. Build Strong Partnerships Develop strong working relationships and maintain effective communication with leaders and team members at HDG's managed communities.Partner across Finance and community operations to research accounting questions, resolve financial issues, and support accurate reporting.Assist the CFO and Senior Director of Finance – Managed Communities with additional projects, financial analyses, and organizational initiatives as needed.Serve as a knowledgeable and dependable Finance resource while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines. What You Bring to the Table Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.Minimum of five years of accounting experience required.Previous healthcare accounting experience preferred, particularly within skilled nursing, assisted living, and/or independent living environments.Demonstrated technical knowledge of accounting concepts and financial processes.Experience working with accounting software and general ledger functions. Technical & Professional Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, required.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve accounting issues.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Strong organizational and time-management abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work effectively under pressure, and consistently meet financial reporting deadlines.Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
