Responsibilities
- Advanced Accounting & Tax
- Perform and oversee client accounting matters, month-end and year-end close processes, payroll and other business reporting areas, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and support schedules to ensure completeness and compliance.
- Support the preparation of individual and business tax returns across a variety of entity types.
- Lead GAAP and tax research on issues and apply findings to client-specific situations.
- Client Leadership
- Serve as a trusted accounting advisor for business clients, acting as a primary point of contact for questions and issues.
- Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements that benefit client operations and financial outcomes.
- Communicate accounting and tax matters in a clear, professional, and client-friendly manner.
- Team Leadership & Quality Control
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to strengthen team skills and capabilities.
- Ensure the team’s adherence to firm standards, policies, and deadlines.
- Assist with the onboarding and training of new team members to support smooth integration into the firm.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance accounting workflows for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Contribute to developing documentation, standardized procedures, and best practices.
- Support leadership on special projects and firm-wide initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.
- Certifications
- QuickBooks Pro Advisor
- CPA Preferred
- Technical Skills
- Strong, up-to-date technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency with accounting and tax software, along with the ability to learn new platforms quickly.
- Soft Skills
- Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.

Pay
Base salary of $95,000–$110,000 plus discretionary bonus (exact base salary amount will be dependent on experience).
