Senior Accountant - Healthcare/MSO/IPA

What You Will Be Doing

• Prepares accurate monthly financial statements, comparative reports, and cost reports.
• Analyzes, reviews, and adjusts income and expense information as to adequacy, form, and source.
• Maintains general ledger, including preparing financial schedules and writing journal entries.
• Maintains cash schedules, inspects account status, and transfers cash as necessary to cover disbursements.
• Maintains amortization schedules for lease agreements, mortgages, and bank notes.
• Affords assistance to independent auditors with interim and year-end audits and verifies accuracy of reports.
• Affords assistance in the supervision of payroll activities and resolution of payroll problems.

What You Will Bring To The Team

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws that apply to the duties of this position.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and interpret financial material.
• Ability to prepare statistical and narrative accounting and auditing reports.
• Ability to perform mathematical computations and compute ratios and percentages.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles.
• EMR experience: Athena highly preferred.
• ERP experience: Sage highly preferred.
