What You Will Be Doing
- Prepares accurate monthly financial statements, comparative reports, and cost reports.
- Analyzes, reviews, and adjusts income and expense information as to adequacy, form, and source.
- Maintains general ledger, including preparing financial schedules and writing journal entries.
- Maintains cash schedules, inspects account status, and transfers cash as necessary to cover disbursements.
- Maintains amortization schedules for lease agreements, mortgages, and bank notes.
- Affords assistance to independent auditors with interim and year-end audits and verifies accuracy of reports.
- Affords assistance in the supervision of payroll activities and resolution of payroll problems.
What You Will Bring To The Team
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 5+ years of professional accounting experience.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws that apply to the duties of this position.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and interpret financial material.
- Ability to prepare statistical and narrative accounting and auditing reports.
- Ability to perform mathematical computations and compute ratios and percentages.
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles.
- EMR experience: Athena highly preferred.
- ERP experience: Sage highly preferred.
