Senior Accountant-GovCon

Our client, a well-established government contracting firm in Rockville, MD, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with GovCon accounting experience who wants to deepen their expertise in cost accounting and compliance work.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting and lead month-end/year-end close
• Perform account reconciliations and intercompany transactions
• Support incurred cost submissions and cost-plus contract accounting
• Partner with program and contracts teams on compliance-related accounting matters

Requirements

• Government contracting accounting experience and hands-on Costpoint experience
• 3+ years of accounting experience — public accounting with GovCon clients, or a mix of public/corporate accounting

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with incurred cost submissions and cost-plus contract structures

Schedule

Hybrid schedule — 2 days/week in the Rockville office.

Pay

Compensation is up to $120K + bonus.
