SENIOR ACCOUNTANT – FINANCE TRANSFORMATION Charlotte / Ballantyne, NC | Hybrid We’re working with a growing financial services business looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Finance team and help improve how Finance operates, reports and uses technology. This is a slightly different Senior Accountant opportunity – alongside core accounting and reporting, you’ll get exposure to finance systems, automation, data, process improvement and cross-functional projects. KEY SPECIFICATION Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial close & reportingPrepare journal entries and account reconciliationsHelp identify and eliminate manual / inefficient Finance processesSupport finance systems and ERP enhancementsImprove reporting, data quality and financial processesAssist with automation and technology initiativesSupport testing, reconciliation and implementation of new systemsHelp strengthen Finance controls and documentationWork with Accounting, FP&A, Technology, Treasury and OperationsSupport senior Finance leadership on strategic projects Key Qualifications 3-7 years of accounting / finance experienceStrong accounting fundamentals and financial reporting experienceExperience with ERP / finance systemsAdvanced Excel and strong analytical skillsGenuine interest in technology, automation, data or process improvementStrong problem-solving and communication skillsFinancial services / insurance experience preferredCPA or accounting qualification a plus This is a great role for someone looking to move out of public accounting or for someone currently working with a life insurance firm.
