Senior Accountant (Development & Construction)

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction loan requisitions
• Maintain and review monthly job costing reports
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports and work papers on a GAAP basis
• Review and analyze the general ledger, financial statements, and prepare appropriate accrual and adjusting journal entries in accordance with GAAP
• Create detailed monthly, quarterly, and year-end work papers
• Coding and reviewing of contractor/vendor invoices, coordinating approvals, monitoring the loan budget, ensuring timely funding of the loan requisition, and overseeing vendor payments
• Aid in managing auditor engagements for annual audit reports
• Provide timely and accurate information to owners, lenders, and outside partners
• Ensure proper recording of job cost transactions in the accounting system and preparation of job cost reports
• Assist with special projects as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of professional experience, including CPA and public accounting experience
• Strong analytical abilities
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Proficiency with standard suite of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Knowledge of JD Edwards/Textura/Hubble reporting software

Schedule

Monday-Friday in-office, Fridays remote
