Senior Accountant, Depot Services

Key Responsibilities

• Execute core accounting processes supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close cycles
• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepaids, provisions, interest, depreciation, and lease accounting (ASC 842 / IFRS 16)
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items
• Maintain supporting schedules for fixed assets, inventory, receivables, and financing-related balances
• Support preparation of financial reporting packages and ensure underlying data is complete and well-documented
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, variances, and abnormal account balances
• Record and track intercompany transactions, partner funding activity, and loan balances
• Facilitate approvals for purchase transactions in accordance with operating agreement provisions
• Support adherence to reporting requirements defined in operating agreements
• Work directly with the operating partner to obtain supporting detail for revenue, costs, and transaction activity
• Validate completeness and accuracy of externally provided data prior to recording in the general ledger
• Prepare supporting schedules for sales tax reporting and coordinate with external tax advisors
• Maintain audit-ready documentation supporting all accounting activities
• Support process improvements and system initiatives to enhance efficiency and control

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of accounting experience
• Strong general ledger, journal entry, and reconciliation experience
• Experience supporting financial close processes
• Experience working with operational data or externally sourced information preferred
• Exposure to multi-entity or operational environments preferred
• Working knowledge of US GAAP
• Exposure to lease accounting (ASC 842 / IFRS 16) preferred
• Advanced Excel skills required
• CPA preferred; equivalent experience considered
