Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting

About the role

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. We are seeking qualified applicants for the position Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting located in Arlington.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of corporate accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Company’s general ledger and financial reporting.
• Prepare and record monthly journal entries for prepaid insurance and other general prepaid accounts.
• Manage and execute equity reclassifications, intangible asset amortization, and payroll-related entries.
• Coordinate and record monthly departmental accruals to ensure expenses are recognized in the proper period.
• Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly analytics for assigned accounts to provide visibility into trends and variances.
• Prepare and file statutory reporting for the Company’s foreign entities in compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations for all assigned accounts and ensure proper presentation of account balances.
• Assist with internal and external auditor quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Liaise with internal controls and functional leads to support the optimization of corporate accounting processes and ensure robust internal controls are maintained.
• Support new system implementations and existing system optimization efforts to automate manual entries and mitigate financial risk.

Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting operations and/or auditor roles
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• SAP experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred

Pay

Salary Range $110,000 - $120,000
