About the role
The company is seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee financial reporting, payroll, and day-to-day accounting functions across its project portfolio. Construction industry experience is strongly preferred, as is familiarity with Paylocity HRIS.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of accounts receivable processes, including monitoring and reporting on A/R aging
- Reconciliation of key accounts and resolution of discrepancies in a timely manner
- Weekly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with federal and state regulations
- Posting payroll entries to the general ledger and applying appropriate job cost allocations
- Maintaining payroll records, including timesheets and deductions, and reconciling payroll accounts
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Supporting the CFO with monthly financial reporting
- Providing accounting and reporting support for company subsidiaries
- Collaborating with the broader accounting team to balance workload and provide backup support as needed
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience; construction industry experience strongly preferred
- Paylocity HRIS experience strongly preferred
- Strong grasp of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software; Viewpoint Spectrum a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage tight deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Experience with Paylocity HRIS
