Senior Accountant - Commercial Real Estate Developer in West Palm Beach

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze general ledger activity, financial statements, and prepare accruals and adjusting journal entries in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations and supporting workpapers
• Manage monthly construction loan requisitions and lender reporting requirements
• Review and code contractor and vendor invoices while monitoring project budgets and job costs
• Coincide invoice approvals, funding requests, and vendor payments
• Maintain and analyze job cost reports to ensure project activity is accurately recorded
• Aid with annual audits and support external auditors with schedules and documentation
• Prepare financial reporting and provide timely information to ownership groups, lenders, and investment partners
• Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in public accounting, construction, development, real estate, or project accounting environments
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with job costing, construction draws, loan requisitions, or development accounting is highly preferred
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Pay

• $95K - $110K base salary, dependent on experience
