We’re committed to enriching the lives of those around us — one home at a time. Ready to make a difference? We’re looking for innovators, changemakers, and energetic professionals who want to join in on our mission and company culture. We’re a leader in the single-family rental industry and continue to build new businesses, capabilities, and partnerships across the residential real estate industry. WHAT IS RESICAP? RESICAP is a leading vertically integrated solution for institutional owners of single-family residential assets in the United States. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Atlanta, GA, we operate across 34 states, delivering asset valuation, construction management, leasing, property management, dispositions, and title services. As our Property Management business continues to grow, so does our portfolio of third-party clients. We are building a client reporting function that can scale with that growth while delivering the accuracy, responsiveness, and transparency our clients expect. THE ROLE We’re looking for a sharp, motivated accounting and finance professional to take ownership of financial reporting for a growing portfolio of third-party Property Management clients. This is not a traditional back-office accounting role. You’ll sit at the intersection of accounting, operations, and our clients — making sure financial information is accurate, reporting is delivered on time, questions are answered quickly, and issues are driven through to resolution. You’ll become the go-to person for a portfolio of client relationships from a financial reporting perspective. That means understanding the numbers, identifying when something doesn’t look right, working across teams to get answers, and communicating clearly with clients. We care less about whether you have spent your entire career in property management accounting and more about whether you are a strong all-around athlete: someone who learns quickly, takes ownership, communicates well, can work through ambiguity, and has the judgment to figure things out without waiting to be told exactly what to do. The role will evolve as the business grows. You’ll have the opportunity not only to manage reporting today, but also to help us design the processes, reporting standards, and technology that will allow us to serve a significantly larger client base in the future. What You’ll Own Financial reporting for a portfolio of third-party Property Management clients, including preparation, review, and timely delivery of recurring client reporting packagesDeveloping a strong understanding of each client’s portfolio, reporting requirements, key metrics, and areas of focusReviewing financial results for completeness and reasonableness before they reach the clientResearching reporting discrepancies and unusual activity and driving issues through to resolutionServing as a primary financial reporting contact for clients and responding clearly and promptly to questionsPartnering closely with Property Accounting, Property Management Operations, and other internal teams to ensure client reporting is accurate and completePreparing variance analysis and other financial insights that help clients understand what is happening within their portfoliosManaging reporting calendars, deliverables, and follow-ups across multiple clients without losing attention to detailHelping onboard new third-party clients and establishing their reporting requirements and processesBuilding and improving standardized reporting packages, controls, documentation, and workflows as the client portfolio growsIdentifying opportunities to automate reporting and make our processes faster, more accurate, and more scalableSupporting ad hoc client analyses and other initiatives as the Property Management business continues to expand What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldApproximately 2–5 years of relevant experience; we’re open to both staff and senior-level candidates depending on fitStrong accounting and financial statement fundamentalsStrong analytical skills and a natural inclination to investigate when something doesn’t make senseExcellent communication skills — able to explain financial information clearly to both accounting and non-accounting audiencesHighly organized and able to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and competing prioritiesComfortable working directly with clients and taking responsibility for the quality of the work delivered to themSelf-starter who does not need a detailed playbook for every situationStrong Excel skills and an ability to work effectively with financial and operational dataComfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where processes are still being built and priorities can changeProperty management, real estate, or fund/client reporting experience is helpful, but not requiredExperience with Sage Intacct, property management systems, or business intelligence/reporting tools is a plusCPA designation or CPA candidate is a plus, but not required Location Note: This is an Atlanta, GA–based position. RESICAP is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Who Thrives Here This role suits someone with an owner mentality. You won’t be handed a perfectly defined process and asked simply to execute it. We’re growing quickly, which means you’ll encounter situations that haven’t been solved before. We expect you to ask good questions, use judgment, find the right people, solve the problem, and improve the process so it works better the next time. Strong performers in this role are curious and resourceful. They notice problems before someone points them out. They communicate early rather than allowing surprises. They care about the details but can also step back and understand what matters to the client. Most importantly, they take ownership. If a client has a question or a reporting issue, the mindset is not “that belongs to another department.” The mindset is “I’ll make sure we get this resolved.” This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their career who wants more responsibility, direct exposure to clients and senior leaders, and the chance to help build a rapidly growing Property Management platform rather than simply inherit an established job.
