Senior Client Accountant

About the role

This Senior Client Accountant role is a great opportunity. You would be joining a family-oriented office in Chattanooga while receiving support from seasoned industry professionals in the market and receiving mentorship from Senior team members.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates needed knowledge of accounting principles and techniques to complete assignments in a timely manner with normal supervision
• Understands and follows prior year work papers and journal entries
• Maintains and updates accounting records and files
• Conducts month-end and year-end closures
• Prepares documents for audits and/or tax
• Follows through on responsibilities and takes ownership of assignments
• Communicates professionally and promptly to clients

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required
• 3-5 years of public accounting experience preferred
• CPA eligible preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple assignments
• Strong accounting skills required
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills required
