About the role

Reporting to the Controller U.S. Region, the Senior Accountant is a highly experienced, critical member of the Finance team, responsible for managing complex accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial records, and providing comprehensive financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with a focus on speed, accuracy, and operational excellence.
  • Prepare, review, and post high-level journal entries, including complex accruals, revenue allocations, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
  • Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations and compile comprehensive financial statement packages (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for executive review.
  • Dive into complex, non-routine accounting matters (e.g., ASC 606 revenue recognition, ASC 842 lease accounting) and author clear, actionable technical memos.
  • Serve as a lead contact for external auditors, steering annual audit preparations, managing workpapers, and ensuring seamless compliance.
  • Evaluate, refine, and maintain robust internal controls (SOX framework) to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk.
  • Conduct deep-dive variance analyses (Actuals vs. Budget/Forecast), translating complex financial data into compelling stories and strategic recommendations for leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Business Partner team and Controller to shape annual operating budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and lead initiatives to streamline accounting workflows using modern tech tools and automation.
  • Act as the strategic financial partner for key business departments, including Sales, Operations, and HR.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experience with a deep understanding of US GAAP.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets (pivot tables, index/match, advanced formulas, dynamic modeling).
  • Exceptional analytical ability with a track record of untangling complex accounting scenarios.

Skills

  • Active CPA or CMA designation (or actively working toward one) – preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday ERP or similar enterprise systems – preferred.
  • Familiarity with IFRS standards – preferred.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills with a talent for explaining financial concepts to non-finance partners.
  • A proactive, self-starter mentality built for fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Pay & Schedule

  • Salary Range: $100K/year – $120,000K/year USD
  • This role is hybrid (3 days in the office/week) – based in New York City, NY.
