Senior Accountant
About the Role
The Senior Accountant position is based in St. Louis, MO, and is part of a larger team at HTE Technologies, a Tavoron company. HTE Technologies has delivered cutting-edge automation and industrial solutions for over 60 years, supporting industries across the Midwest with robotics, compressed air systems, engineering, and maintenance services. In this full-time role, you will maintain the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records, support overall financial operations, and work closely with management to provide financial analysis and insights.
Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile all G/L accounts and subsidiary ledgers (if applicable)
- Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Maintain internal control safeguards
- Assist in establishing financial and operating benchmarks and reporting standards on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Coordinate activities of external auditors and prepare interim and year-end audit schedules
- Work closely with the executive team and managers to ensure efficient and effective company-wide operations
- Assess, execute, and streamline policies, procedures, controls, and methodologies
- Perform accounts payable and receivable activities
- Assist with payroll processing
- Support various administrative and operational functions as needed
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other business-related field, or a combination of education and experience
- 5+ years’ experience in internal/private accounting
- Previous experience in public accounting a plus
- Strong data analytics, budgeting, and forecasting experience
- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment and ability to meet critical business deadlines
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures
