Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparing and posting journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations, flux analysis, and variance explanations.
• Maintain and review general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for management review.
• Aid with accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and other recurring accounting activities.
• Partner with FP&A, operations, payroll, AP, AR, and other teams to resolve accounting issues and ensure timely reporting.
• Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Help identify opportunities to improve close efficiency, reporting accuracy, and accounting processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Use ERP systems to perform accounting tasks; experience with Oracle Fusion is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in corporate accounting or public accounting.
• Strong experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control practices.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not required.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion, Oracle Cloud, NetSuite, SAP, Workday, or similar ERP systems preferred.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-growth or multi-entity environment.
• Familiarity with financial reporting packages and audit support.
• Experience improving accounting processes or implementing close efficiencies.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
