About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Accountant with a background in public accounting to move into an exciting in-house role, own our core accounting operations, and help build the financial infrastructure that will support our growth. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the company on tasks ranging from monthly close to process design, and be a key partner as we prepare for future fundraising, audits, and scaling our finance function.
Responsibilities
- Own the monthly and quarterly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
- Maintain accurate general ledger records in accordance with GAAP
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense management
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Support revenue recognition for SaaS contracts (ASC 606)
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking
- Build and improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation as we scale
- Support tax filings and coordinate with external tax/audit partners
- Help prepare for audits, fundraising due diligence, or acquisition activity
Requirements
- 2-3+ years of progressive accounting experience (Public Accounting experience is a MUST)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Prior experience in public accounting, preferably audit
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience owning a full close process with minimal oversight
- Comfortable with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Bill.com)
- Strong Excel skills, working with large data sets, and formulas (ex. SUMIFS)
Qualifications
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and a bias toward building scalable processes
- Strong communicator who can explain financials to non-finance stakeholders
- Self-starter, comfortable in a small team with evolving priorities

Compensation Range: $85K - $105K
