Senior Accountant

Position Summary PICA Manufacturing Solutions Inc is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team. This hands-on position will play an important role in supporting daily accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end closing, and maintaining accurate financial records across multiple companies. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, hands-on Sage 100 experience, and a background in multi-company accounting. We are looking for a proactive, dependable professional who takes ownership of their work, demonstrates strong analytical abilities, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. This individual will work closely with the Controller and other members of the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and support ongoing improvements to accounting processes. Key Responsibilities General Accounting & Financial Reporting Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedulesAssist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processesMaintain accurate general ledger records across multiple companiesAssist with the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statementsInvestigate discrepancies and ensure timely resolutionEnsure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies Sage 100 & Multi-Company Accounting Utilize Sage 100 ERP for daily accounting activities, reconciliations, and financial reportingMaintain accounting records for multiple legal entitiesPrepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and balancesAssist with multi-company financial reporting and consolidationsCoordinate with domestic and international accounting teams as needed Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Process Documentation Provide oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and adherence to company policiesReview AP and AR processes, identify discrepancies, and assist with resolving outstanding issuesDevelop, document, and maintain written accounting procedures, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), to ensure consistency, accuracy, and proper internal controlsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and implement process improvements in collaboration with the Controller and accounting team Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting Support inventory reconciliations, adjustments, and valuationAssist with cost of goods sold analysis and manufacturing-related accountingReview inventory transactions and investigate discrepanciesSupport physical inventory counts and inventory control proceduresAssist with accounting for freight, landed costs, and tariffs Audit, Compliance & Process Improvement Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for annual audits and tax filingsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting accuracy and efficiencySupport special accounting projects and reporting requestsCollaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experienceHands-on experience with Sage 100 ERP Experience with accounting for multiple companies or legal entities Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accountingExperience with month-end closing, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reportingAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlinesExcellent attention to detail and communication skills Preferred Accounting experience in a manufacturing or distribution environmentExperience with inventory accounting and cost accountingExperience with intercompany reconciliations and multi-entity financial reportingExperience working with international operationsCPA designation or progress toward certification Powered by JazzHR ignx5uG09O
