Senior Accountant

Our growing client in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving specialty food and beverage manufacturer with an entrepreneurial culture and ambitious growth plans. The Accountant will report directly to the President and play a key role in strengthening the company's financial reporting and oversight.WHAT YOU'LL DOOversee bookkeeping functions including A/P, A/R, and daily bank and POS system financial entryPrepare financial reports for the President and executive staffMonitor and manage the annual budget, including expense controls and periodic variance analysisManage the general ledger including reconciliationOversee accounting procedures and internal controlsPrepare bank reconciliations and monthly journal entriesOversee benefits enrollment and managementEnsure compliance with HR policies and proceduresStay current on federal, state, and local employment lawsConduct internal audits for inventory, SOPs, and human resourcesFoster and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendorsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field5+ years of accounting experience; food or beverage industry experience a plusAdvanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft OfficeExperience with QuickBooks a plusStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to identify and mitigate risk, manage multiple priorities, and work under minimal supervisionComfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentDetail-oriented with a positive, collaborative attitudeCOMPENSATIONCompetitive base salary up to $100k plus a robust benefits package.
