Why This Role Exists As Onebrief grows, the complexity and volume of our accounting operations continue to increase. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to help maintain accurate financial records, strengthen our accounting processes, and support timely financial reporting. Reporting to our Accounting Manager, you will work on core accounting activities across the business, including journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and close processes. You will also partner across Finance and other departments to resolve issues, improve processes, and help our accounting operations scale with the company. What You’ll Do Core responsibilities: Work on daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and collectionsSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare accurate financial statements and reportsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, audits, internal controls, and financial complianceMaintain accurate data across accounting systems, improve processes, and partner with teams across the business Minimum Qualifications At least 4 years of accounting experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations at a software as a service companyStrong knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting principlesExperience supporting monthly and quarterly close processes and preparing financial reportsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and handle sensitive information with sound judgment and integrityBachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field Preferred Qualifications Experience working at a fast paced startupCPA or progress toward CPA certificationExperience with NetSuite, Brex, and ZipExperience supporting external audits and internal controlsExperience improving or scaling accounting processes within a growing organization Indicators of Success This role will evolve as priorities change, but the outcomes below reflect what success typically looks like in the first six months.
