Responsibilities

• Support the full-cycle financial close process including General Ledger maintenance, expense management, and work-in-progress tracking.
• Reconcile assigned Balance Sheet accounts and record applicable journal entries.
• Prepare period-end fluctuation analysis to support the timely closing of the period.
• Review non-merchandise invoices for proper coding and approvals.
• Review utility invoices for proper usage and work with utility providers to ensure timely payment.
• Review store expenses to ensure proper coding and record necessary accruals.
• Pull supporting documentation and receipts to record all online purchases.
• Manage the corporate credit card reconciliation process and ensure adherence to travel policy.
• Work closely with other departments to track work-in-progress and maintain corporate and production inventories.
• Evaluate initiatives, recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to achieve continual improvements in efficiency.
• Prepare and present data/presentations in a timely and easy-to-understand format.
• Foster a workplace consistent with MOM’s purpose, values, and goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 3-5 years' related experience.
• Proficiency with automated A/P systems.
• Experience with general ledger account reconciliation.
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Google Suite & Microsoft Office.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Consistency with meeting deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage unexpected demands.
• Dependable, follows instructions, and takes initiative to solve problems.
• Interest in company culture and desire to grow in the field.
• Experience in a fast-paced work environment.

Nice to Have

• 5+ years' experience in the field.
• Previous retail/merchandise experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Medius.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $82,000 - $95,000.

Schedule

This position is located in-office 5 days a week (Rockville, MD).
