Responsibilities
- Prepare and consolidate financial statements in compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, and ensure accuracy in financial data.
- Prepare work papers that provide detailed support of all balance sheet account balances.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and contribute to enhancing accounting procedures.
- Stay updated on accounting standards, ensure compliance, and make recommendations to align with changes in regulations.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, providing insights, trends, and forecasts to support decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic planning.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, ensuring their professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA or relevant certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.
- Public Accounting auditing experience is a plus.
- Strong technical accounting skills, knowledge of GAAP, and ability to analyze large volumes of data.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in leadership or mentoring roles is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Work will be performed in an office setting.
- May be required to sit for long intervals and climb stairs.
- Must have good manual dexterity.
Pay
$75,000–$105,000
