Senior Accountant

About the role

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Littleton, VT. This position will report to the Group Controller and independently oversee day-to-day accounting operations, month-end and quarter-end close, and AR/AP staff for the site.

Responsibilities

• Own the site's month-end and quarter-end close process and meet group consolidation deadlines
• Directly supervise the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable staff
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready books and support external audits with schedules and reconciliations
• Support the transition from Excel-based reporting to Oracle EPM
• Maintain site-level internal controls and proactively identify control gaps and process risks
• Support bank reconciliations, local cash processes, and other site-level Treasury activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience with direct AR/AP supervision
• Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting close deadlines
• Manufacturing or multi-site industrial accounting experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable with modern ERP/EPM systems and moving away from manual spreadsheet-based processes
• Ability to work independently with proactive communication; CPA or progress toward CPA a plus

Pay

$85K–$92K base + bonus
