Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA designation is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Proficient in GAAP and familiar with healthcare industry financial regulations and standards.
- Proven experience with external audits, payroll, job costing, and general ledger management.
- Expertise in month-end and year-end processes, along with proficiency in reconciling balance sheets.
- Exceptional numerical proficiency and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in finance software and MS Office Suite. Experience with accounting software is essential.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial reporting is in compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct regular WIP, month-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Cook up and participate in external audits, ensuring all required documentation is provided in a timely manner.
- Manage all aspects of payroll, including processing, distribution, and reporting.
- Perform job costing and analyze cost variances to assist management in decision making or other financial initiatives.
- Reconcile balance sheets, accounts, and bank statements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal regulatory and company policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and assist in their professional development.
