Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Perform financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting related to distribution and supply chain operations
• Support accounting functions across multiple national distribution centers
• Oversee and provide guidance to two analysts (one U.S.-based, one offshore in India)
• Partner with supply chain and operations teams to analyze costs and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Assist with distribution costing and inventory-related accounting (limited inventory complexity)
• Follow and execute established SOPs; identify opportunities for process improvement
• Support system transitions and onboarding (Oracle ERP, SmartView, Google Cloud SQL)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to distribution or supply chain environments preferred
• Strong experience with month-end close, accruals, and financial analysis
• Familiarity with inventory and costing concepts within a distribution setting
• Experience managing or mentoring staff, including offshore resources
• Experience with Oracle ERP preferred; SmartView experience a plus
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
