About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team with a focus on tax, compliance, and multi-entity accounting. This hands-on role will own key tax and regulatory requirements while supporting global consolidation, equity accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting across our U.S. and international entities. The ideal candidate has strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, practical tax and compliance experience, and the ability to independently manage complex accounting workstreams in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own and coordinate federal, state, and local tax compliance in partnership with external tax advisors, including income tax, sales and use tax, property tax, franchise tax, and related filings.
  • Manage tax calendars, registrations, payments, filings, notices, and recurring compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Monitor sales tax nexus and other state and local tax obligations as the business grows.
  • Coordinate international tax and statutory compliance requirements with external advisors and local service providers.
  • Support the annual income tax provision, tax audits, and related financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and improve or automate tax and compliance processes.
  • Own key areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple legal entities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Support global consolidation activities, including intercompany accounting, reconciliations, eliminations, and consolidated reporting.
  • Own foreign currency accounting for assigned entities, including FX remeasurement, translation, and CTA analysis.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent accounting across entities in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
  • Partner with international service providers to resolve entity-level accounting and reporting matters.
  • Support equity accounting, including stock-based compensation, equity transactions, cap table reconciliations, and monthly equity-related accounting.
  • Coordinate recurring equity processes, including 409A valuations, grant accounting, and supporting schedules.
  • Support technical accounting analysis and documentation for complex or non-routine transactions as needed.
  • Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for financial statement, tax, and statutory audits and serve as a key contact for assigned areas.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Payroll, People, and external advisors on accounting, entity, equity, and tax matters.
  • Identify opportunities to improve close, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance processes through automation and standardization.
  • Support ERP enhancements and other finance transformation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful tax, compliance, and general ledger experience.
  • Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, and consolidated financial reporting.
  • Experience working with external tax advisors and auditors and independently managing deadlines and deliverables.
  • Exposure to foreign currency and equity accounting is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a process-improvement mindset.
  • CPA or CPA eligibility/progress toward certification preferred.
