Senior Accountant

Paramount Brands is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the integrity of the company’s financial reporting. This role includes performing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supporting the financial close processes. Location: St. Louis, MO or Rochester Hills, MI What You’ll Be Doing Oversee accuracy of financials related to our Winston Collection brandWork closely with Winston and Imperial team members to ensure the accounts payable process is timely, efficient and accurateServe as liaison for vendor and customer inquiriesPerform the bank reconciliation throughout the month and address discrepancies as they occurEnsure accuracy of automated customer invoicingAssist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and supporting schedulesWork with the Winston team to ensure credit card expenses are coded accuratelyCalculate and process commissions & royalties, address related inquiriesTrack and manage prepaid expenses, including setting up amortization schedulesAssist with accruals and other adjusting entries as neededAssist with Winton’s ERP implementation and ultimately serve as the accounting subject matter expert as it relates to the new ERPPrepare and maintain monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial recordsInvestigate and resolve discrepancies in general ledger accountsAssist with other accounting duties as needed (reconciliations, reports, data entry) related to the Imperial businessDesign, develop, and maintain financial and operational reports within the ERP systemPartner with finance and operational teams to identify reporting needs and improve data visibilitySupport continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and reporting What We Need Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting or FinanceExperience: 4+ years of relevant accounting experienceSoftware Experience/Tools: NetSuite ERP experience, ODOO experience, hands-on experience with complex spreadsheetsIndustry Background: Relevant manufacturing industry experienceIdeal Characteristics:Strong data entry skills with attention to detailProficiency in English and MS OfficeHigh degree of accuracy and organizational skillsUnderstanding and application of GAAP principles and standard,
