Senior Accountant

What You'll Do Create and post biweekly payroll journal and analyze all payroll related accountsMaintain fixed asset system and posting of monthly depreciation expenseCoordinate all credit card processing and terminals at 3 locationsPrepare monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accountsSupervise two peopleReview and analyze balance sheet accounts, making adjustments and corrections as necessary, including reconciliation of subsidiary systems to the general ledger:Fixed assets to GLRaiser's Edge to GLConstruction in processCapital budget to GLUtilizes and update the electronic accounting filing system (Docuware)Maintain the Accounting Procedures manual, coordinating updates as neededDocument and review internal controls in coordination with CFO on an ongoing basisAssist in various analyses and projects, including budget preparationAssist in the preparation of year-end audit schedulesServe as a back-up for payroll processingSupport gift shop operations and inventoryBe a part of the 150+ legacy of the Humane Society of Missouri Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least three years general accounting experienceSome supervisory or lead experience requiredExperience with Microsoft-Business Central is desiredOrganizedGreat communicator and relationship builderMUST LOVE ANIMALS!
