Senior Accountant

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Aid with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
• Manage, record, and reconcile fixed assets
• Compile monthly financial statements
• Prepare account reconciliations
• Research and apply accounting guidance
• Monitor and ensure accuracy of general ledger and accounting records
• Support annual audits and other compliance projects
• Process payment batches and support accounts payable functions
• Prepare and analyze complex financial reports
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and policies
• Conduct fluctuation analysis and provide variance explanations
• Prepare multi-state property and sales tax returns
• Support annual budget and forecasting processes

Requirements

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience
• CPA preferred

Skills Required

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Solid knowledge of GAAP
• Thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment; leads and controls multiple projects simultaneously
• Meet deadlines, multitask, and work under pressure
• Detailed-oriented
